In an ever-changing city, the contestant interaction between people and the built-unbuilt environment gives Alexandria’s urban spaces a unique essence and presence. They are places that live and breathe, busy, alone, awake, and tired at the same time. Through daily observations, I try to capture, interpret and record the rich and detailed scenes of urban daily life to understand the city’s modern socio-cultural life. These observations are intended to provide a wealth of information on the visual culture of Alexandria during a time of profound change and rapid transformation.
I write mainly about Alexandria and occasionally some other cities.
