CITIES miniatures Alexandria Vol.4
ALEXANDRIA
In this series of urban microcosms, I carefully observe and analyse Alexandria. I aim to gain a deeper understanding of its functioning. My goal is to unravel the inner workings of this vibrant city. I create miniature sketches and paintings. Through these, I explore the diverse elements of its urban landscape. I aim to capture Alexandria’s urban essence. I do this by deconstructing and reconstructing its structures, spaces, and social interaction places. The culmination of this process involves combining hand-drawn sketches. These are created using Gouache and Aquarelle techniques. The goal is to create captivating, lifelike scenes. These scenes are directly inspired by the bustling rhythms of the city. Ultimately, this artistic endeavour serves as a means of fostering communication and exchanging diverse perspectives on Alexandria’s urban fabric.
